Choreography

My choreographies are inspired by nature, human nature, and spirituality. Each choreography is a collaborative journey with my performers, a co-creation that amalgamates lived experiences, inspiration, intuition and research.

ETERE

Konnessjoni ma’ dak li hu oltre minn,

oltre minni u oltre minnek.

Konnessjoni ma’ dak li ma jinstemax, imma jsejjaħ.

Konnessjoni ma’ dak li ma jingħarafx, imma jinħass.

Dija, li tikber,

minn ġo wied, minn ġos-skiet,  minn ġo qalb, minn ġo ġisem,

mill-etere.

ETHER

A connection to that which is beyond,

beyond me and beyond you.

A connection to that which calls but can not be heard.

A connection to that which is felt but can not be seen.

A thread of light that is sewn

in a valley, in the silence, in a heart, in a body,

From the ether.

Choreographed during my time teaching Opening Doors, 2019. This interdisciplinary piece reflected on the impact of the sea on the dancers and what called them to it.

E V E

Choreographed for Zfin Malta, National Dance Company for the Malta International Arts Festival, 2016. A comical piece reflecting on our sometimes egotistical nature to be first, to be more, to be louder, to be seen, above all others.

Barcode

Co-choreographed with Zugraga Dance Organisation in 2016. This piece was based on research and lived experiences of racism in Malta.
